Unicaja Malaga won the game where 58 personal fouls were called

In the hunt for the ninth place and on the last game of the season in front of its fans, UCAM Murcia fought for the win against Unicaja Malaga.  The final result, in a game with 58 personal fouls, was 88-95 for the visitor team.  Vitor Benite had 25 points for UCAM Murcia.  The “universitarios” will face Valencia Basket, this Sunday at 18.00 for the last game of this season.

Despite the good defence of the team, Unicaja Malaga led the first quarter (28-20) having 75% field goal percentage.  In the second quarter with the help of Llompart and Radovic, after Campazzo and Tumba were benched with 3 personal fouls each, the two teams went to the half-time equal (46-46).   The third quarter was the same with the teams being close, ending up with a three point lead for the visitors (62-65).  In the last quarter, and with 6 minutes remaining until the end of the game, Unicaja had already had the free-throws bonus and took advantage of it, increasing the lead to 73-82.  The effort of UCAM Murcia to close up the difference did not have a result and Malaga maintained its lead to the final 88-95.
