The UCAM Murcia is close to passing to the next stage of the Eurocup, after beating Unicaja 83-75

The UCAM Murcia received at the Palacio de los Deportes Unicaja Malaga with the opportunity to position itself as leader of group C of the Eurocup and Oscar Quintana did not miss the opportunity. After a first half of honours shared Murcia broke away in the third quarter and conserved their lead in the last period. Despite the loss of Facundo Campazzo, performances by Billy Baron (22 points), Vitor Benite (21) and Sadiel Rojas (25 rating) were keys to this victory that puts the UCAM Murcia with 3 wins and 1 loss at the head of its group.

Starting the fourth quarter the score of the two teams slowed during the first few minutes which favored UCAM Murcia at it had the advantage. The university team arrived at the mid point of the quarter with a lead of 5 points, while the visitors missed from distaince, first Pocius and then Faverani moved the gap to +10. Unicaja did not throw the towel with 3 minutes left but Malaga only scored from 4.60 (80-74). At the last minute and 5 ahead UCAM Murcia knew how to manage its advantage and a triple by Billy Baron finally sentenced the match for the locals. The best players for UCAM Murcia were Billy Baron with 22 points and Sadiel Rojas with 25 points and assists.
